Very new clean and stylish. Well designed with bedrooms at opposite ends of the property. Alan was very hospitable when he welcomed us. The only negative was that there is very little sound proofing between the apartment and the one above and the floors above are very creaky. This meant we were woken at 3am as the couple above arrived home and played music.
Other than that a lovely place. I hade a very short stay and Sandie and Steves home with coimg in after midnight and leaving around 7, but the welcome was really war. The room and bathroom were all well equipped and clean. I liked you had to take your shoes off. Can recommend staying there. Sandie Steve Make you feel welcome, there home is extremely clean but informal. I enjoyed my stay. Comfortable, quiet room, great value and very convenient for the university.
Sandie was a welcoming, helpful and friendly host. Sandie and Steve were really friendly hosts, with great ideas for things to do in Hull. Bed was very comfortable, and the room nice and clean. Really enjoyed my stay. I was visiting Hull for work purposes. Sandie and Steve were very hospitable. Really comfortable stay at Sandie and Steve's, great hosts with a big welcome. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again if visiting Hull. A home away from home.
Comfy bed, large room, quiet location, cute dog, friendly hosts, ideal location - what more could you want?! Simply beautiful, cannot say anything bad about Ruth and John as hosts.
The house itself, simply beautiful and full of character and was clean. Ruth and her partner were so accomodating, and made my first airbnb stay really enjoyable.
The house is lovely and the room I stayed in was spacious and airy- with super comfy pillows! The location isn't too far from the city centre and has shops really nearby, but it's on a quiet street. I would definitely stay again when I'm next in Hull.
Ruth, who looks like a young Dame Judi Dench, was the perfect host. The room was large and clean. Close to a grocery store, restaurants and bars. Really quiet and safe, easy bus route to town. All was as described with lovely hosts and friendly quiet dog! Sarah was a great host - she was great at communicating, very welcoming and friendly always checked that I was ok. She gave good tips on where to go, her house is in a good location and the bed was comfy.
Hosts are friendly and welcoming, room was perfect and the house is lovely. I would recommend this as a place to stay in the city! Sarah was a great and friendly host. Keen to share knowledge of area and top tips for eating and pooteling around The house is delightful too. Very clean and comfortable Close to all amenities and a short taxi ride from train station.
Very Nice and the bed was comfortable and soft. Sarah and her kids are very welcoming and it was great to having them as hosts. The flat was as advertised with photographs reflecting a true likeness.
Simon meet me at the requested time and showed me around. He was very helpful in answering text when any minor issue occurred, for instant when I had forgotten where he told me the bin lock-up was! Lovely position with regarding Hull centre and easy to get out to the main road with car when heading out of town. I stayed just short of 3 weeks and found kitchen utilities and equipment perfectly adequate.
Wifi connection was strong. I was in Hull for business and found the experience at Simon's flat a lot better than staying in a hotel! All in all a good experience. The apartment was near the city centre, easy to visit all the attractions but still quiet and tucked away from the bustle of the holiday weekend.
It is a small studio apartment but perfectly adequate for a couple for a short stay. We like to cook and found some of the kitchen equipment lacking for our needs. A compact, clean apartment. Simon very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and stay again. We really enjoyed our stay at Colins place.
The location is fantastic with the new Flemingate centre less than 5 minutes walk away and Beverley town centre even closer. There's a great takeaway just over the road and a tesco very close by. The only negatives were that the bedroom and bed itself is only small, so for one very tall and one slightly wide person it was a bit of a squish.
It wasn't the most modern and luxurious place we could have stayed i'm really picky but it was great value for money and we had a lovely time. Colin's apartment was well equipped and perfectly situated - even though on a fairly busy road, the bedroom was at the back, so no problem sleeping. Beverley is an interesting and historic town, with the Minster being the star attraction, and plenty to do and see for at least a couple of days.
Also a good base to get to Bridlington, Hull and many other destinations - by car or train. This is in a good location in the lively and picturesque town of Beverley. The flat was comfortable with all the facilities you would need. Parking is free- Colin provided us with a temporary residents parking permit when we arrived- this was essential in this part of Beverley.
Colin's apartment was excellent! We were staying for the Radio 1 Big Weekend in Hull and the location was perfect for us. The apartment is close to the town centre, shops and restaurants, without any of the noise, making it feel really homely!
Colin was a great host, meeting us late at night on our arrival with a smile! He also provided us with some goodies such as bread, milk, cereal etc to get us started, which was much appreciated! Overall we had a great time and loved the place! Excellent communication from the start of the booking. Apartment as described, beautiful. Colin had even left a 'welcome pack' with basic essentials and a couple of treats!
The apartment had even been decorated for Christmas - nice touch. Overall, excellent and would definitely recommend. This was a brilliant location for the lovely town of Beverley, especially during its Fab Puppet Festival.
Great for train to visit-worthy Hull too. Parking a great benefit. Great welcome from Colin. My partner and I stayed at Colin's place for 5 days and it was great.
Great central place to stay. Lovely host Good for train access and great to explore Beverley on foot. If you want a basic, peaceful flat near to the centre of beautiful Beverley, then this is the place for you. It's within easy walking distance of the railway station, shops, pubs and restaurants.
A good base from which to explore. Wonderful apartment with everything you need and more for a relaxing break. The welcome wine, beer and biscuits was a nice surprise and helped us to settle in after our long train journey up from Bournemouth. We had a lovely stay. The flat was very convenient for everything in Beverley.
It was comfortable and clean and sue left us a lovely welcome package that was very thoughtful. This was my second stay at the flat and I will definitely be back again. Well laid out, comfortable, very convenient for the town centre. Clean and comfortable ground floor apartment is excellent location. Easy walking around Beverley, with lots of good restaurants and shops. Close to railway station and shirt walk to bus station. Whilst the apartment is situated in the town, it was quiet and private.
Excellent shower and comfy bed. I would recommend this apartment. Perfect location and great value. Steve and Khai are very very welcoming. Would recommend to anyone staying in Hull. I felt so so welcome staying with Steve in his beautiful home. He was very friendly and made me feel like a friend rather than a guest.
The house is in a great location, and he has great local knowledge of the area - which is very handy. Very clean and cosy and I had a lovely stay. I was in different room this week but still a perfect bnb. Great conversation company and such good fun. A must for any visitor to hull who likes to meet great people and cats. We spent a very good stay in this charming house with Steve, Khai and Madam the grey cat. Indeed they are lovely hosts and very welcoming.
The bedroom is comfy, enjoyable, tidy and clean. The rest of the house is very pleasant, tastefully decorated with a big kitchen fully equipped, ideal to cook! Do not hesitate to book in this beautiful house with a lovely garden. It is a rare gem where we felt like home! I had a great stay here and would definitely recommend.
Steve and Kai are so friendly and helpful. Location is perfect with shops and restaurants just a stone throw away. Had a very nice welcome upon my arrival, there were plenty of parking spaces in the road for my car, which I left there for most of my stay and walked to where I needed to be.
Lovely, clean spacious bedroom with an amazing bath in the window. Lovely power shower too. Will definately try to stay here again when in the area and I would recommend to fellow Airbnb guests. Steve and Khai are kind hosts and made me feel welcomed. Their house has a cool style and it's located in a quiet street. There isn't much to say about Gill's house: We didn't have the chance to meet her, but Gill is very organized and all the useful informations are written around the bedroom, the bathroom and the kitchen, so you can't do wrong!
The house is on a side street of Newland Av. I recommend it without hesitation. We had a lovely time staying at Gill's place. Everything is so organized and well set up for guests she's covered any detail you could hope for, including the offer of free toast and tea in the morning. It's also a very easy check-in experience, which was great for us as we arrived late and were able to let ourselves in without disturbing anyone.
Gill herself is a warm, approachable person - easy to have a chat over a cup of tea with! If we come back to Hull, this is the place we'll return to. Gill has a lovely house, sadly we didn't get to meet as she was away, but her housemate Kerry let us in and showed us around.
They have a very friendly dog, but only briefly encountered him on arrival! A lovely room, bathroom, kitchen, very hospitable and provided everything we needed for our stay! Will stay here again! Gill's was lovely, clean and very good value for money.
She's gone to a lot of effort to make it homely, things like tea and coffee especially for Airbnb guests. Everything was was well equipped and very clean. I was very happy with it! A nice location close to lots of restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend it! Gill's place is competitively priced, was at the perfect location for my needs and had plenty of information throughout the house for every concern one might have.
The accessibility and quality was superb, thank you so much! I can only say it was perfect. It was more like a room in a four star hotel at least rather than an average Airbnb listing.
Everything was clean and so modern, the bathroom in particular, and check in and out was easy. There was a lot provided as well, even an electric heater, finally I didn't have to freeze anymore as I did since I've arrived in the UK. A very good value for money. Later I've stayed in a hotel room for twice the amount which wasn't that good in comparison. This property is amazing. So welcoming and the standard of the room, well you can't beat it.
Very friendly welcoming hosts and a gorgeous room, spotlessly clean with lovely extra touches such as a cute home made cake in a pretty paper bag sealed with a miniature clothespeg and fresh ground coffee and cafetiere in the room. Lovely breakfast available too. The house is in a great area, very local to restaurants and the uni, and in an interesting road with lots of different lovely houses. It was good to have proper coffee in the room and there was a self service breakfast.
I booked late for a weekend in Hull, and was extremely lucky to find this. I had an absolutely lovely stay at Ron's place! The hosts were very friendly and chatty, and always kind enough to do that little extra to help. The room was clean and well-equipped, and the house was in a quiet neighbourhood close to public transport. I'd definitely be happy to stay there again, if I'm in the area. Very convenient location and perfect for both short term and long term stays.
Rooms functional and well appointed. Great location on the Princes Avenue. Very good value for money. We were missing a towel but some more were brought round the next day for us. Spare toilet roll would have also been useful as we ran out on our final morning. En-suite space very small. Be careful about the wash basin tap as water spills over wetting your clothes. The original listing had different pictures and this is what I based my booking on.
After arriving at the flat and obviously noticing that there was a difference, I rechecked the listing on Airbnb and found that the listing had been amended and different pictures posted.
A definite case of misdirection and deception to get a booking. Overall the flat met my needs and was generally clean, but I would think twice about booking this room again. Suzanne was the perfect host, friendly and accommodating.
She had a lovely house that was clean and comfortable Wonderful service with quiet premises and privacy, communication was excellent and I would certainly want to stay here again if was in the area. Suzanne was a lovely and welcoming host.
I stayed for work purposes and she was very accommodating. Really would recommend Suzanne's house if you need a place in Hull. Lovely single room in residential area. Small but everything you need is available. Bed is particularly comfortable. Find Apartments in Dunswell on Airbnb. Discover entire homes and private rooms perfect for any trip.

We understand on good authority that the original pair of semi-detached houses were built by Mr Barclay and his son-in-law of Barclay's Bank in the mid 18th century.
It's likely that the apartment was originally the 'Drawing Room', and entertained famous and infamous guests during its' day! Really enjoyed our stay would highly recommend.
