The service was terrible and our waitress acted like it was a bother to serve anyone. It took approximately 5 minutes to be seated when it wasn't even busy. The lettuce wrapped turkey burger is delicious, not to mention the legit guac is excellent!!! Me and my husband went for his birthday dinner. Once we were seated, it was a great experience with service and food! The Hostess was not very welcoming or accommodating, even though we had a reservation. She did not take time to look for the reservation and did not explain the different dining experience - we did not know most tables were just separated for smaller parties.
As it was a birthday dinner, we didn't want to sit with people we did not know. We had amazing appetizers and food and a terrific Flight: We also got a free dessert for my husband's birthday.
Meatloaf is excellent, mash'd tators awesome, queso was fabulous and the bacon cheese burger was yummy! We had a good time! We were seated right away. The food was amazing! I recommend the manhole cover pancake. This is my 3rd time going and it will not be my last. Food was awesome, waitress was very knowledgeable and the service was fast. Great fun environment, kind of loud inside but it's an energetic place. We had the mussels for an appetizer, ribs for dinner and Pots de Creme for dessert.
Everything was delicious but the Pots de Creme was out of this world! I highly recommend and we will be back. More character than most and yet solid food at a mid price range. Taking reservations is a BIG plus. Food was so yummy. Pleasantly surprised by all Gluten free options!!!
The chips and dips were great- had gluten free bread- great. Also loved the quinoa kale salad. Was much better than expected. Wasn't sure what to expect but what a great place to go with friends. I'm not THAT old but the music was really loud and made it difficult to talk with friends.
A wide variety of concoctions to drink and a lots to choose from on their menus. Loved the Chicken and Biscuits. My family and I have made it a habit going to Mash'd. It's reasonably priced, great atmosphere and our service every time has been great. We have been for weekend brunch, our sons 21st birthday party spot, and just lunch in general.
We have tried several things on the menu and haven't has anything we didn't like. We are obsessed with the Mussels and we love the brunch pancake! At first it was funny, then it got a little old and it was distracting. But if you just don't sit in that area, you are destined for great food, great drinks, great service and fun atmosphere! The fried chicken and potatoes were delicious. The cocktails were great.
The food was decent, we expected more food on the plate. The reservations really helped and the service was wonderful, the food and drink selection is what impressed us and we will be back Our server was friendly but not fake and very knowledgeable. Food was just ok but would give it another try at dinner time.
Wasnt that impressed with brunch. I made last minute reservations in anticipation of the Sunday brunch. I usually have a hard time satisfying everyone in my family as far as cuisine, health conscious companions and kids. Mash'D satisfied them all. They have the best bloody mary I've had in San Antonio too!
Great brunch experience and I will be returning. White bean hummus appetizer is a must have! We have been to mash'd several times now and the food has always been delicious!! Their 'from scratch' kitchen is phenomenal!! The service has also been excellent every time.
I would recommend this place to anyone who wants great food in a unique place. Couldn't believe how unbelievably loud it was. Definitely not a place to have a conversation of any sort: Enjoyed my dinner date with my wife.
The food and drinks along with the atmosphere makes for an enjoyable night. The food is always so yummy there we love going there and Abby is a great waitress I recommend everybody go to see her. Made it for mimosa specials and brunch! Manhole pancake was so good. The three of us shares it with plenty left! Blood Orange mimosas were so yummy! Our waitress was prompt, courteous, and made sure we always had what we needed.
One downfall was the temperature of the mimosas, hot champagne and hot juice is not a good combination. The waitress was nice to put ice in the mimosa but unacceptable. If they anticipate such 'high' volumes they should have chilled mimosas or chilled glasses. The menu is phenomenal. I have been here several times and tried something different each time; everything has been fabulous. The atmosphere feels more like a bar than a restaurant.
Although they do have a kids menu, I don't recommend bring kids. Tried Mash'd today for Sunday lunch and enjoyed their fall off the bone ribs. They were very accommodating to make my meal low carb and grain free.
What a great meal. Jasmine, our server was very helpful. We'll be back to try more of the menu. The BBQ wings were great, the tacos were flavorful, but the fried chicken was amazing! Great ambiance, service was great, and food was excellent.
A great place for food and drinks. The moonshine infused drinks are excellent and the food is even better. Had a great experience at Mashd for our anniversary date night. Highly recommend Mashd for date night or just a night out with friends.
Went on a Saturday night, very packed but they seated us promtly! The pineapple moonshine and the mule drink were delicious!! We had the guacamole which was tasty, the chips that came with it were sooo good! We also had the ribs, soooooo delicious with the mashed potatoes!! Music was really loud though but service was on point!
I thought my whole dining experience there was just very average and I was not impressed with the drinks nor the price of them. I was a little disappointed in the Sriracha this time after I raved about them to my husband. First time had that kick. This time they were a bit greasy without spice butter, I know. Anyhow, the shank was good and hearty. Blue moon mojito was excellent.
Bootleg mule is just a shot over a full cup of ice. Previously tried turkey burger, ribs and bulgogi tacos. Ribs fell off bone. Food was good, needs a little more refining, but still good. Drinks were great, service was hospitable and attentive. Manger presence on the floor was strong which always a good thing to see. Looking forward to our next visit! This is a great place to grab a meal with friends, but not a good idea for a date night.
I went on Valentine's Day for something different my bad. The theme is centered around 'moonshine' so needless to say it's also a great place for happy hour. The service was great, the food for the most part is ok.
I got the mussels dish from the shareables list, skip it not worth the price. For the main course I had the bbq ribs which were excellently prepared.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made you feel very special. The food was good and and well priced. We will go again and sit outside where the noise is less. It was a festive Friday night inside and we are older and prefer a bit quieter atmosphere. My husband and I were looking for a restaurant near the movie theater and found this little place. What made us try it was the fact we could make an easy reservation and it was walking distance from the movies.
Wish I could of tried all the moonshine but I couldn't because I am pregnant. Great place, easy going atmosphere and wasn't overly crowded for a Thursday night! This was a very lively brunch. All the tables were full quickly after opening. The food was on point and priced well. Service was friendly and timely.
Daniel stopped by to introduce himself and was very nice. We will be back. The food was great! I had the deconstructed egg salad, and it was awesome. Everyone else enjoyed their dishes as well. The apps were amazing! We really enjoyed the Pot of Goat. The mimosas are wonderful and they keep them coming, the staff is super friendly and the food is great!
We made reservations for 10 for my boyfriends birthday and they had no problem accomadating our large party. They had a great list of moonshines and 'hillbilly cocktails', the Jolly Rancher was my favorite.
All of their food is made from scratch, even their ketchup, and the mussels were to die for. Our server was really knowledgable and helped us out a lot since it was our first time there. Overall we had a great dinning experience and will definitely be back! Went on a Friday. Glad I made a reservation. Restaurant called to confirm earlier in the day. Jalepeno moonshine cocktail was so good. All four of us tried different dishes and sampled eachothers. Everything was so delicious. My husband is still raving about the burger.
Still so many things to try. I don't eat very much but I ate my whole plate- and so did everyone else at the table. Portions were small but food was tasty! Met friends for brunch, I had the giant blueberry pancake which was slightly undercooked. The bloody mary is loaded with garlic, didn't care for how the moonshine changed the flavor of the drink. Other friends plates were ok, not really anything special. My husband had the baby back rib sandwich and I had the chicken sandwich.
The flights of moonshine were expensive and not that tasty. I had a berry moonshine drink that was delicious, my husband had a shandy that was really good.
May go back for drinks and fries, but not for dinner. Food poorly plated and badly cooked. The only item we liked was the tacos. We tasted the rest and didn't eat it. We tried 2 of their drinks. Incredible food all 5 meals were fantastic! It was too noisy and thy turned the lights so low we couldn't see the menu.
Our server Jennifer was great. We've been to Mash'd twice now and loved it both times! Love the ambience- fun and entertaining atmosphere, good variety of music playing over the speakers, great service, and helpful waiters when recommending food and explaining their moonshine. We even enjoyed tasting a flight of their different moonshine flavors. They have a nice outdoor patio with heaters in the winter which opens up to the indoor bar area on warmer days. Happy hour is from PM and they have a reversed happy hour starting at 9: I'm looking forward to going back and trying some of their appetizers.
I highly reccomend this place- try it, you won't be disappointed!! We have tried many things on the menu and have never been disappointed. The staff is very helpful when trying to pick a menu item. They are extremely knowledgeable of the menu items.
The drink menu is outstanding and they taste just as awesome. It is a fun place to eat, drink and have a good time with friends. The waitress who served us did not know the menu , forgot the food and drink orders. I like the concept. And I think it may have been just a bad night. I ordered the Benny Pot, which comes with a poached egg and biscuit. My egg was almost hard boiled and my biscuit was raw. Raw as in, I stopped eating it because I was worried I would get sick.
I let my server know that my biscuit was raw and when he came back from the kitchen, his response was that they cook it that way to keep the biscuit from drying out. Again the biscuit was RAW It was my first visit and I was disappointed. Had it not been for the mimosa's my overall rating would be poor. We were a group of 4 adults; booth was a decent size not huge, not tiny.
We each ordered a different Mash'd specialty cocktail. The best was the Lady Marmalade, I sent back the sangria, and the other 2 were average.
The 2nd round of drinks was better, the Jolly Rancher is delicious and the Pineapple was so-so. Every plate was delicious and we will definitely be back for more though we may just order beer and wine which is sad since the their whole 'schtick' is moonshine.
Unique experience - moonshine based establishment that incorporates moonshine in to almost all of the dishes.
Infused moonshine made on the premises with a diverse menu and hip decor and ambience. Staff was courteous, friendly and knowledgable! Definitely recommend if you're in the area and looking for something a little different without sacrificing food quality! Definitely wish I could've sampled more of the moonshine but overall the experience was great!
We've recently have been trying to find different places to go to for different drinks and a great atmosphere and this place fit both. We're definitely coming back! The moonshine cocktails are great. However, they need to look into more local wine and spirits.
Dined with wife and nine year old daughter on a Saturday. Food was very good. Noise level extremely high. Their menu items we ordered were executed quite well. Enter the email associated with your account in the field below and we'll email you a link to reset your password.

Amazing food and service! Adding you to my list of favorites. Went for New Year's Eve. Our waitress was fabulous and friendly!
The menu has changed and they took some of my favorites off the menu. The menu changes often, the drinks are fun, and the food is good! Good food and lively atmosphere. The service was very good also! Excellent drinks, friendly server knowledgable about menu items. The Legit Guacamole was amazing! I would go back just for that If you like alcohol and mashed potatoes, this is your joint. Table wasn't ready but didn't have to wait long. Amazing atmosphere, food, and service!!!
Whatever, I know my steaks. Value wise, it's a bit over the top. But overall it was a fun experience. We have celebrated every anniversary at The Met since number 30; this was number The Met is absolutely my most favorite place for a special night out. Restaurants of this quality must never have an off night and to my knowledge they never have, certainly as far as my experience goes. The other biggies in Seattle have all let us down at one time or another.
We will come back to the Met again and again. I had let it be known to The Met that this night was special for my wife, dear friend and me. I can't believe how they cared for us, making us feel like we were the only ones there. They brought us special appetizers, fussed over our wine selection, fabulous menu recommendations that we absolutely could not refuse and of course a complimentary dessert in honor of the occasion accompanied by a wonderful dessert wine; all on them.
We had requested to be seated in Bruno's section and we were. Bruno is the absolutely the best! Matr'D Craig stopped by to say hi I suspect it was he that ordered up all the special things for us. I asked, of Craig, a very special and secret favor for a future date and he had Aaron, head of wines at The Met stop by to see if he could accommodate my special request.
We have a future date for that; I am so honored that they will look after me in this manner. What a wonderful evening; fabulous treatment, equally fabulous food and wine. I only wish I could dine there every week!
Been in this place several times and it is absolutely awesome! They have excellent and beyond great quality food.. The food was cooked and prepared perfectly as expected. The staffs are very nice, friendly, and attentive. The ambiance is awesome and classy Awesome steakhouse in Seattle! Food is generally predictably good. I had the steak sandwich, which was good, but the French fries were nearly cold and the bread for the sandwich wasn't really toasted as it usually is.
Felt like it waited out to be picked up by our server before getting to the table. Service was excellent but the food was less then what I've experienced before. I didn't complain at the meal as we were on a time limit and needed to get moving.
Haven't been in a few years! Happy to see the food is still amazing! Our server was fantastic! This place was amazing, first time there and extremely impressed with the service, food and coctails. Such a fun, inciting environment, pricey, but worth it! First time visiting this restaurant.
Was in town with family for the New Year and found it on Best Steakhouses in America on the internet. Will definitely visit again when I'm in Seattle. Classic steakhouse setting with excellent service and food. Expansive menu selections, steaks are on point!! Exceptional wine list with selections from the globe! We had our two children and we felt very welcome. We have visited the Met a few times and we are looking forward to our next visit when we are in town! My husband ordered a steak and it was superb however I ordered salmon and it was a little dry.
So if money is not an issue and you love steak, I'd definitely recommend this restaurant. Waiters and Servers in Tuxedosclientele in Baseball hats and camouflage!! The food is worth every penny of the price and the service is on a parallel with the food. MG is always world class. We had the absolute best desert this week the chocolate lava cake.
The best food I have had I a long time, such a great dining experience. Went there to celebrate anniversary Service was super good!
Steaks are definitely one of the best in town but it might be too much for some people No room for desserts. The best steak I ever had -- and classic steakhouse decor, with plush velvet booths and a delightfully clubby atmosphere.
We were using a gift certificate, so the experience was especially lovely, but the Metropolitan Grill is absolutely worth a visit, even if you have to spend your own money! We came early, so the place was relatively uncrowded, but I suspect the attentive service we received is typical. Great waitress, excellent food and wonderful atmosphere. What more could you ask for? This is our most favorite restaurant in the whole country.
We go to Metropolitan Grill every year for our anniversary. Tonight we had a perfectly prepared chateaubriand for two. I have dined for years at this restaurant and have always enjoyed everything about it.
This time was a little disappointing. I ordered French Onion soup which should have been left in the oven longer. The cheese is supposed to be crusty but mine was soft and just melted and soup itself was just warm. Our steaks were properly cooked but also just warm when brought to the table and the au jus the waiter brought to pour over the steak was luke warm which made the steak even cooler.
We ordered a side of mushrooms and like everything else I was so wanting something hot that I ordered an after dinner Spanish coffee and even asked that it be hot when it arrives. The waiter did bring me a nice and hot Spanish coffee I then flagged down a 'Suit' and asked it my coffee could be served in a cup or glass with a handle so that I could enjoy it while it was hot. We get to Seattle a couple times a year and always make it a point to dine at the Met.
I think next time we will expand our horizons as there are many good high end steak houses in Seattle. The food was good, our server James was excellent, attentive and friendly. We were celebrsting my son's 30th birthday. James picked up on this and made sure to bring him a birthday dessert. The only issue we had was with the seating.
I made reservations back in early October for new years eve. We were seated at the bottom of the stairs with booths all along both sides of the table and it was uncomfortable to be sitting in the middle of the room. We asked for a booth and the hostess took us back up to the front door and sat us in the coldest booth in the restaurant.
Every time the door opened a gust of cold air hit the table. After donning our coats and realizing it was not going to get any better, we asked our waiter if we could move in one booth and he moved us.
I don't think the hostess cared one way or the other if we were comfortable. She wasn't happy that we asked for a booth. Very disappointing especially since we made reservations so far in advance. Would expect to be treated better at a restaurant of this caliber.
This place has some of the best steaks in the country. This place was exquisite. From the service we received from our server and his staff to the gentleman who did the tableside bananas foster.. It was absolutely Amazing. Really appreciate the attentive service, amazingly well prepared food and crafty cocktails. One of the best steak restaurants out there! The occasion was a family get together and the evening was greatly enhanced by the service , attention and helpful inputs from our server Roger.
His personality and friendliness contributed greatly to our overall enjoyment of the evening. It was my girlfriend's 70th birthday dinner on a Sunday. We enjoyed the exquisitely crafted and cooked meal we had, the outstanding service and especially the maitre d's attention to my girlfriend making sure everything about the evening was good. The wine by the glass selections we made were excellent all the way around.
My appreciation to the chefs for their incredibly well prepared and tasty dishes. Everything I remember from years past about this place was there and more this time around. The atmosphere is very old-style in a good way. Our waiter Roger is very helpful with food and wine selection. His knowledge is down to each piece of steaks. We are glad our 1st dinner of was here. This is our favorite place to go for special occasions. The food and service cannot be beat. They even indulge our special request for twice baked potatoes, which are no longer on the menu.
Not only a great dinner spot, but lunch is great here too. Need to keep this one in mind more often for lunch. Lunch was absolutely fantastic. The steak sandwich has to be about the best value in Seattle! Seems tired to me. Extremely expensive in my opinion. Other better restaurants to choose from in my opinion.
The best steakhouse in Seattle and one of the best in the country. Excellent food and service. I highly recommend the Met! Excellent ambiance and service!
Surprised my daughter with dinner at the Met before our annual visit to the PNB and Nutcracker ballet! Highly recommend for anyone looking for something special! The food is always outstanding. The service is top grade! It is obvious they know their business and answer all questions like it was the first time it was ever asked.
The steaks were excellent and they even made the vegetarian plate look appetizing to a meat-a-tarian. We are looking forward to going back, soon. An excellent steakhouse, not cheap but very premium food.
Service and food were outstanding. We have some food allergy issues, they were very accommodating. The recommended wines were spectacular and paired very well with the steak. Can't wait to get back there! Celebrated our anniversary here. Delicious food, friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. Food fantastic and perfect temperature. Ambiance and noise level just right for lively but private dining experience.
We went out with some friends to celebrate Christmas. We had a great evening. The wine we selected was not available but the Sommelier suggested another bottle similar in price and we liked it so much we got two bottles while we were there.
The food was great and our server was fun and he even gave us a beef lesson. The noise level was a bit high at times but for the most part it was ok. Would definitely reserve it for a special occasion but it is worth the price.
My husband and I were celebrating 37 years together and 4 years married. The Met helped make our evening memorable. The service and food were excellent. We look forward to our next special occasion at this wonderful restaurant. We had a lovely anniversary dinner at the Met -- from the gracious and witty bartender and bar patrons who wished us a most happy night, to the waiter and bus dude who were attentive and helpful.
And the food was amazing: There was only one small miscue all night, too-crispy roasted root vegetables, which I guess is the way that they cook them here. My wife and I had a wonderful meal and enjoyed our time there.
Our server was great and he brought desert on the house for no apparent reason we did tell him it was our anniversary other than our occasion which was unexpected and left us with a lasting impression. Great service, personable waiters and delicious food. Arguably, the best restaurant in Seattle.
I was very impressed with the attention to detail. I happened to drop my hat and scarf as I was leaving and the waiters were so attentive. They returned them to me so quickly. Now that's above and beyond on their service!!! Not worth the money. I enjoyed the food and the service. I have been to many steak houses not only in Seattle but around America and the world. This place is good. Tenderloin was a bit tough. The service was timely, waitstaff very knowledgeable and kind, and the food was delicious.
We even showed up an hour early due to coming from Olympia, and they got us in within 5 minutes! Our waiter gave my husband the pick of his after meal snack complementary for his birthday! Our Waiter Cesar provided Very good service and the steaks were cooked the way we requested.
The service was top notch, very friendly yet professional. Our beverages were replenished often, and our water glasses were never empty. My only complaint was that my meal was served luke warm and lacked in flavor.
Three of us ordered this same entree and all of us felt the same. The other four people in our party loved their selection. It was my first time to dine here. My friend, on the other hand, has been dining here for almost 20 years and raves about the food.
Our server was polite and warm. For appetizers, we ordered crab cakes and lobster bisque. Both were perfect-- great flavor, texture and temperature.
However, 5 minutes into enjoying our appetizers, another server comes to our table and served us our our main course. We both ordered medium rare NY Strip Loin. We were both stunned because we were not yet even halfway through our appetizers.
I thought to myself, 'am I being rushed? Once he came to our table, the steak was already cold since it has sat there on the side for more than 10 minutes while we finished our appetizers. We told him what happened and he brought the steaks back to the kitchen. Sadly, both steaks were just re-plated and I assume was probably reheated or blasted in the salamander.
My friend who has dined with you for years said that she was shocked that the chef did not fire new steaks on the grill. It was truly disappointing since it felt like I was eating leftover steak that was cooked the night before. I think our server tried to make things right but honestly, the entire experience for me was just ruined. It was my first time to dine with you, and of all days, on Christmas Eve.
My friend and I left with such an underwhelming feeling. Maybe I'll come back for dinner next time but it'll take a while to be convinced that it's worth trying The Met Grill for a second time. Going to the Metropolitan Grill has become an annual tradition for our family, around the holidays.
It's nice to treat ourselves to such an exquisite experience, to celebrate an end to a successful year! Our server, Michael, took excellent care of us and we enjoyed a wonderfully relaxed evening full of good food and drinks.
The cost is definitely something we'd reserve for a special occasion, which it was, and for that we cannot recommend it enough! Comfortable, nice ambiance and the waiter was very attentive. Always a smart choice. You get to feel special even when you're dressed in your finest Seahawks gear. Great food and service! The four of us were there on a Sat. Okay , sorry that your night is so busy. One of us has been going there after the game with 7 friends for over 10 years spending thousands of dollars each time.
Yes it's true that the reservation was under another name , but when my friend mentioned that he always came here after the game and sat at that table with his friends , would it have killed someone to at least acknowledge him and say nice to see you again? When we mentioned that the potatoes were cold our waiter brought us a bowl of fresh potatoes but never removed the old ones. In fact the table was crowded with glasses and plates that had not been removed.
The second bottle of wine arrived after the entrees were served. The second bottle of water took equally long. All in all a bad meal. Poor food , poor service , but the worst of all was that nobody bothered to ever acknowledge my friends' years of support.
Service outstanding , very attentive to our schedule as well as our needs during meal. Wish the background noise was a bit less but still overall experience was excellent. This is the one place we come for special occasions. I had a fantastic lunch with a long time friend and was well taken care of! I will be back Met Grill! Known for their steaks, we always get the seafood dishes. You can easily spend hundreds of dollars but if you're careful you can eat at a decent price and get incredible food at a great value.
I don't get here often. I go in knowing it is over priced. The food should melt in your mouth. The prime rib was dry, and so were the steaks. For an occasional night out it is what it is, but there are soooo many better restaurants in Seattle to dine at. We had a wonderful evening. Every single person that we encountered was professional, helpful, personable, and made our dining experience we have come to expect the MET to be.
Perfect service and incredible food, can't wait to go back. The staff remind me of Canlis and Salish Lodge, first class performance. So disappointing this time. This was our third visit and will be our last. The food was very average. I've eaten there before and had an average meal but had not had steak so I thought I'd try a steak this time to see if it was a better choice but no, it wasn't.
The meat was gristly, tough and served barely warm. The fries were pretty good and the Maker's Mark ice cream was great but all-in-all a big disappointment. The hostess was very nice and we were seated right away.
We were able to order our beverages and food in a reasonable amount of time. Beverages arrived quickly, but the food took quite a long time. The food was delicious once it arrived. We were unfortunate in that we were seated right in front of the hall that leads to the side kitchen door and the kitchen noise was very loud.
We will definitely ask to be seated in a different area next time. I realize it's Christmas time and the pace was very busy but my ribeye was way under cooked and distasteful.
Not to mention way overpriced. We were celebrating our anniversary and, because we mentioned it in our online comments when we made our reservation, we were greeted with completely unsolicited anniversary wishes by both the hostess and the waiter -- a very welcoming start to the evening.
The lobster bisque was velvety smooth and the filet mignon and strip sirloin were done to perfection. There was also absolutely no problem when we informed the waiter that we were intending to use 11 and 16 year old gift certificates and recently reclaimed from a stack of long forgotten papers. We'll be back; the Metropolitan Grill is a 'class act. I'm so happy we are here. Some of the lunch items are reasonably priced or you can splurge. Skip to main content. We didn't find any openings.
Please try another date or time. The moment you step into the Metropolitan Grill, you know you have entered a classic steakhouse. Cuts of beef are showcased in a glass display in the front entryway. Framed photographs of celebrities, sports heroes and local politicians, all frequent visitors to The Met, line the walls.

Truly the Met's favorite glass of wine. Grilled and sliced thin. Served with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and asparagus. Reviews and Ratings 4. Find reviews that mention: Was there for a business gathering. Our waiter, Todd, made the meal. One of the best steakhouse restaurants there is.
Best classic steakhouse in Seattle. You get what you pay for. Excellent food, drink and service. Very crowded and noisy though. Best steak I've ever had!!! Food was good, valet is nice since it's downtown. We traveled from Utah for dinner and we were not disappointed! Excellent spot for business lunch. Great value and great service. The salmon was tasteless and my coworker got sick from the steak. Fabulous favorite place to eat and drink when visiting Seattle!
Really really great spot. As usual, everything from the service to the meal was excellent! Crab cakes were the tits! The Waygu beef eggs Benedict is outstanding! Flourless chocolate cake with eggs, butter, sugar and bittersweet chocolate. Served warm with Chantilly cream. Rich custard made from heavy cream, egg yolks, sugar and vanilla beans.
Topped with a crispy caramelized sugar shell. Classic New York style baked cheesecake with fresh berry coulis and Chantilly cream. Three layers of rich, dense yellow cake, toasted coconut and white chocolate chips. Frosted with a rich white chocolate icing and served with berry coulis. Olympic Mountain Creamery uses only the freshest ingredients and rich cream to custom make the velvety smooth flavors for the Metropolitan Grill.
The manager was very gracious though and found us a large table to sit together rather than splitting up at two back to back booths. Loved having dinner in the booths where you can converse without shouting. The bar was set away from the eating area which was nice.
I made this reservation online forgetting to sign in as a member. Is there any way I could still get points. Great variety and interesting menu. Great spot to go for a weeknight or weekend dinner or lunch. Have always had good service and good food. This was an early New Year's Eve dinner reservation with two young children and the seating and delivery of food seemed even too quick for us; dinner arriving on top of appetizers before salads which never arrived.
The food was good and we were in and out in under an hour and a half. We had a group of 8 and it was a great time. As a fairly frequent visitor to McCoy's, I enjoyed taking a night off from the bar area to eat dinner with my date in the restaurant area. The restaurant is nicely separated from the bar, and it provides you with a nice atmosphere to have an intimate dinner. The food was great I ate the Patty Melt, just one of their delicious burgers and the service was good as well.
Overall, we had a very nice time and will strongly consider McCoy's again in the future. I've always enjoyed McCoy's but my recent experience was not at all enjoyable. Our waiter was unhelpful, never available and unfriendly. The food was fine but not great so while we were feeling particularly yucky about our service experience, at least good food or good wine would have taken away the sting. Unfortunately, neither was the case.
We always come with our friends who have kids and ask to be seated via Open Table Reservations in the back fireplace room since then we don't feel so bad if our kids are loud or get up to walk around and our request is always granted! The food is great and the kids love the mac and cheese the one on the adult menu- the one on the kids menu isn't the same and not very good!
We just have a couple kids split the adult order. Overall, great family place to eat. It also has a nice wine list. Great place to come after a movie or play. I've consistently received great service at McCoy's. The food is always tasty and is reasonably priced. McCoy's is one of my favorite hang-outs. As always McCoys is a great experience. I have never had a bad meal. Their menu is great and the service is outstanding. WE had a great dinner. This was the best food and service we have had in a long time.
We will definitely return. McCoy's food is always great and they have something for everyone. Burgers for the teenagers, fabulous soups and salads for the non meat eaters and such a variety that you can always try something new. In fact we still have to go back to try the fish and chips that we haven't gotten around to yet. This was the first time my mid twenties son had been there and he was very impressed and plans to return with some of his friends.
I had been pleased when eating here a couple previous times. However this time was different. Service was decent, not outstanding. Food though, was pretty mediocore. I was there on a first date so didn't want to complain, otherwise I would've for sure in fact I called the restaurant the next day and offered my review.
However, it was a poor-grade piece of meat, very fatty and tough - little flavor. My date had the bistro chicken, which she said was over-cooked and very dry - and I could tell that just by looking at it. When I called the manager the next day she said they'd had similar complaints lately and were working to fix the problem. McCoy's has now become one of our favorite restaurants.
The food was excellent and the service was incredible. I would definatly recommend this to friends. This is a great lunch spot - unbelievable 12 hour Reuben. I usually like McCoy's. The reservation worked great, we got there and were in our seats in 10 seconds. The food, however, was a different story Pot Roast, meat was fatty and meal was pretty tasteless, hard veggies - I even told the waitress that I was unhappy with the meal, but she didn't offer to do anything about it.
So, we paid the bill and left Our server was clueless. After 5 minutes of waiting, she returned and said "I didn't understand what you ordered. So did you want anything now? She repeated my order back to me.
So of course she brought me a tall, saying "oh, I thought you said tall. We didn't eat anything, but it smelled bad anyway. Sign up Sign in.
