Bitbuzz, Ireland’s leading Wi-Fi provider, has integrated its Wi-Fi offering with the Costa customer loyalty programme, the Coffee Club. This is the first integrated scheme of its kind in Ireland. Bitbuzz has been providing unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi to all Costa stores in Ireland since 2010.
Registered Costa Coffee Club members can now avail of unlimited complimentary Bitbuzz Wi-Fi, without the need for vouchers. This innovative initiative reflects the wider trend of retailers embracing Wi-Fi as a way of rewarding customers and for gaining an insight into consumer trends. The Costa Coffee Club is free for customers to join and is part of a growing trend towards brand loyalty and a more personalised retail experience.
Bitbuzz has been proactively working with its location partners, such as Costa, to introduce brand loyalty through Wi-Fi for some time. Bitbuzz partnered with local businesses in Dublin, Cork and Killarney to launch the Bitbuzz Freedom product, which provides free Wi-Fi access in outdoor locations, and is now the largest outdoor Wi-Fi provider in Ireland. According to the ComReg report from the first quarter of 2013, Bitbuzz now accounts for 53% of all public Wi-Fi traffic throughout Ireland.
