As part of Innovation Dublin 2012, the Dublin BIC managed GEC (Guinness Enterprise Centre) will host an Open Day on the afternoon of October 24th, showcasing the innovation of the clients in the GEC. The GEC is home to some of Ireland’s most innovative companies with over 80 SMEs employing over 300 people, with an increasing number of overseas entrepreneurs choosing the GEC as their base. The GEC Open Day will highlight the products and services on offer from GEC clients across a wide range of industries.

The Open Day will attract media, investors, start-up entrepreneurs and stakeholders from the entrepreneurial eco-system across the region.

The Guinness Enterprise Centre was established in 2000. The GEC provides a dynamic environment to build and scale an international business, combining office space with world class business support services in a connected network of entrepreneurs, high growth companies, investors and support agencies. GEC supported companies had 2011 sales in excess of €100m and have created over 2,300 jobs.

A new addition to the GEC community is a Creative Cluster assisting start-ups in the games sector.  A growing number of games founders are attracted by the GEC’s entrepreneurial environment.
