Also only interested in real womans, I'm writeing about womans born as womans. Neglected Army Guy Seeking Fun Times m4w I am a 41yo athletic white Army guy who is seeking NSA fun. Hey and thanks for stopping and checking me out.

I stayed here for two nights. The room was great- large and clean. I was sharing the bathroom with another room but this cause any issues at all. Excellent place to lounge and be comfortable while in the city. Peace to Saint Nicholas Inn and yes when we return, this is our rest stop. It was the charming atmosphere I knew from previous stays. Therefore I returned to Saint Nicholas Inn.

It is somehow feeling at home in such a big city as New York. The Inn is situated just beside the subway and located in the historical significant Sugar Hills in Harlem. Breakfast offered by the Inn was amazing and refreshing!

Lawrence and his crew have been most helpful and accomodating during our stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting New York! La experiencia ha sido gratamente satisfactoria y perfecta. Lawrence como su amigo, fueron excepcionales y encantadores, nos hicieron sentir como en casa.

Been to many places and have missed home at some point except in here. Lawrence and his staff is super friendly, warm and welcoming. Greeted us with a bottle of Champagne as they found it was our second honeymoon. Very patient and thoroughly informative about everything you ask.

No compromise on the morning breakfast and it was generously portioned and very diverse. Location is very convenient as it was few steps away from Subway Station and a Bus Station. No issues what so ever in commute even in freezing cold or a bad weather. Very good price point and far better deal as compared other places out there. We stayed in Private Suit and it was clean and cozy.

The entire stay was very memorable especially due to such a wonderful stay at this place. Will surely come back here in future as now we know where to be for the next visit to NY: We were a group of 10 persons and stayed for 10 days in the suite and enjoyed our stay. It was clean and the inn keeper was very helpful and friendly. The inn was not far from the metro at min from Time Square.

Everything exceeded our expectations. I definitely received excellent service and value at Saint Nicholas Inn and it will be my first choice whenever I am back in Harlem. The room was a spotless extra large room with a queen sized bed, television with cable and wifi internet. Even though the bathroom was shared, I don't believe anyone else was staying on the floor I was on and had no trouble using the bathroom or shower when need be.

Breakfast was served in the morning, fresh fruit and a croissant on one day, a muffin and fresh fruit the next. The accommodation was quiet and peaceful. I would definitely recommend Saint Nicholas Inn.

It's a great and affordable place to stay in Manhattan without being in all the hustle and bustle, it's located in a great part of Harlem and if the value and accommodations don't change your mind, just being in an area full of so much amazing history will!

We were a group of 12 persons and stayed during 10days. Located near the metro and at 20 min from Time square. Sometimes, you find an inn where the hosts just take care of your every need with swift action, knowledge and experience - they know what they are doing - and at the Saint Nicholas Inn, you can have that kind of experience.

The rooms are well appointed, clean and exactly what you'd expect, the price is right, but the hosts are what makes the Saint Nicholas special. Worth a stop for the night, just to see how and feel how it's done right in NYC. Convenient Wifi at room, it's real exceeded my expectations. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room large and the heating was both adjustable and rapid. There are two delis within 2mins walk from literally the top of the front steps the furtherst does coffee in the morning, the closest beer at night ; , the subway stop could not be any closer and in a great co-incidence we found out you can walk to Yankee stadium about 20min , how good is that!!

We found the area to be safe and feel safe at all times of the day or night, breakfast is continental and more than enough to get you started, would we stay here again? You bet, great value and a great way to both meet real people and get into the NYC groove.

I stayed in a private room, queen size bed, on the third floor, from October 7 - 11, Sharon the hostess is hospitable and will assist in getting you to the hotspots of NYC, in particular the soul food restaurants.

Even though this place is in Upper Manhattan, I felt safe both day and night. Literally steps to the subway or bus stop and it will get you anywhere. I would definitely stay here again. The only negative I would say is that the shower and bathroom are not in one room.

So you have to go down the hall to use the washroom and use another room to have a shower, if staying on the third floor. I have no idea about the rooms on the other floors. We stayed two weeks in the suite and enjoyed our stay at the inn. It was very clean and the inn keeper was very helpful and friendly.

The suite was huge and even had its own small kitchen without oven and bathroom. There were some parks in the neighbourhood and a subway station just next to the inn approx.

Complementary breakfast was ok, but nothing special. We'd recommend the suite to anyone. The innkeeper is great! She is very friendly and accomodating. You cannot beat the price of the room. The inn is literally half a block from the subway, on the same side of the street!

There is also a bus line on the same corner. It's a breeze to get to Yankee Stadium. We a guy and girl couple got back to the inn between 11pm and midnight and it was fine walking to the inn from public transportation. I the girl wouldn't do it by myself that late, but during daylight would be fine. There is a great pizza place on the opposite corner, but other than that I didn't see a lot of food choices right there at the inn. Also, the room was advertised as air conditioned, but our room was not.

However, there was a fan in the room, so it was fine. The breakfast was traditional continental breakfast and we didn't miss a day to fill up our bellies. All in all, it was a good place to stay and we would stay there again. Everything you expect to find in a bed and breakfast is there.

We had nice big rooms, which isn't so easy to find in New York. Our Inn keeper was sooooo nice. She mad our stay very pleasant. The only thing we missed were knifes at breakfast and a big mirror in our room.

Our room was perfect for young couples just like us 25 years old. We didn't ask for a room with private bathroom, so we didn't mind washing ourselfs in a shared one. Saint Nicholas Inn is just 3 steps away from the subway. The rooms are nice but old. The owners try to do their best and are very nice. Good for young couples and families with a small budget. Our stay at the Saint Nicholas Inn was great! When we arrived via subway with all of luggage we were happy to find that it was only steps away from the subway.

The neighborhood was pretty quiet and we felt very safe. We were greeted by the Inn Keeper upon our late night arrival. The Inn offered brochures and info on places and getting around in NYC. The suite offered a clear view of Yankees stadium. The staff went out of their way to assure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They definitely made us feel at home.

Much better than any hotel stay. We over slept and missed breakfast our first morning there but the staff assured we didn't miss breakfast the second day by bringing it directly to our room. After receiving our breakfast we were upset that we missed it the first day because it was delicious and far exceeded our expectations.

Upon checkout they assured we enjoyed our stay at both the Inn and in NYC. Thanks Sharon and Lawrence!!! Situated in Uptown New York. Very close to subway and bus stops.

Helpful advice from the Innkeeper. Broadband linked and airconditioned.

House is old but well kept. We enjoyed our stay. Even able to park our car right outside the front door. St Nicholas was a thoroughly wonderful experience. The staff was quite attentive to our needs and very helpful.

Closeness to public transport -bus and subway an added bonus since it is located in Upper Manhattan. I was referred to the St. Nicholas Inn by a close friend. I was looking for someplace in Manhattan that didn't cost an arm and a leg. It was very inexpensive compared to other venues. The place was neat and the room was great. The innkeeper Sharon was very accommodating and thoughtful. She worked with me to get me checked in and even bought a champagne bucket at my request, as I was celebrating my fiancees birthday.

This place was an ideal home away from home. I highly recommend the suite. Shared bath and powder room worked well because they are seperated and only shared by 2 rooms. In an age where even a YouTube clip might end up sounding better, it's hard for me to trash an album full of such rich performance art.

Charlie Parker is praised generations later for playing like he plays on this set. To deny one's ears of that is criminal. My only regret is that the original recording edited out the work of the other musicians he is working with.

Charles Parker is one of my favorite composers, musicians and conceptualist, however, he sounds best when he is collaborating with artists of high caliber and we cannot take that aspect for granted. After all, he is not playing by himself and they are exchanging ideas, inspiring and supporting each other. In spite of the unfortunate aspect of the other artists work being cut and uneven recording fidelity, this is a must have recording for anyone who relishes great art and the work of Charles Parker, alto saxophone; Roy Haynes, drums; Red Rodney, trumpet; Al Haig, piano and Tommy Potter, bass.

You will not regret acquiring this document!!! Rough Bootleg sound quality but it actually adds to the cool aura around the music. And the music is excellent. Definitely Not for anyone who wants to listen to a clean recording.

I thought this was one of the Dean Benedetti 'home' recordings of Bird, but I'm not sure. Still an enjoyable listen, just remember that the sound quality is bootleg quality.

This album suffers from the same problems as its' "companion", "Bird on 52nd Street". Those are all derived from the fact that the performance was recorded in a bootleg fashion and the recorder was often turned off as soon as Parker stopped playing. This cd benifits from a slightly better over all sound quality, Parker is much more robust and clear, however, he and the Max Roach drown out the rest of the band almost entirely.

Well, Parker is in fantasic form. His soloing is in its prime and he absolutely burns. His playing simply overwhelms all of the technical shortcomings. Newcomers should check out one of the many collections of parker material before tackling this cd. Longtime fans will want to hear this and add one star just because most everything on record from this period of Parker's music is vital! There have been many comments about the recording quality of this disc and they're all true!! But the brilliant music that emanated from Bird's horn compensates for everything.

In a Saxophone Journal interview, saxophonist Bert Wilson called Bird the first avant garde musician and after listening to this disc--I totally agree!!

He is still light years ahead of anyone playing now except perhaps Ornette or Roscoe Mitchell. Despite the raw quality of the recorded sound, Bird is doing some of his most brilliant playing.

He couldn't get the notes out fast enough. Rather than complaining about the quality and circumstances of the recordings, I thank the guy who showed up on this live date for having the presence of mind to get Bird on tape in the first place and capture something that could never be captured in the studio.

No one could touch Bird at St. His flawless playing was from the gods! While hardly state-of-the-art in terms of sonics, this recording does, as the liner notes suggest, reveal another side of Parker for those only accustomed to his more finished studio work.

There is a fierce energy and harmonic intelligence on display here, and, despite the rough edges, the music is exciting and "alive" in the best sense. While this would not be a wise place to begin one's exploration of Parker, it is far from a completists-only cd. See all 11 reviews. Most recent customer reviews.
