Hostellerie Du Chateau 2-star hotel. Dedicated secure shed for bike storage. Think we were the only guests on a Sunday in June! Room spacious and clean. Closed car park a plus. Courtpaillle restaurant adjacent to the hotel, and of course the hotel is adjacent to the motorway.
We were two in a family room but that gave us more than enough space. Breakfast was very good, Marie and Etienne proved welcome and accommodating hosts nothing was too much trouble.
We stayed 4 nights and ate at the grill next door a couple of times and enjoyed the meals and service there too. As we were touring in a classic car the secure gated car park influenced the Hotel choice and we would happily return. The hotel is a little way from the town but that was not an issue for us. It is very close to the high way but you have the advantage of staying in a small village.
The "garden view" wasn't much. The coupon given for the restaurant next door was expired. All very clean and tidy, excellent and close to the auto route. Please enter a valid email address. An error has occurred. Your welcome email will arrive in your inbox soon.

Very nice helpful staff, good breakfast. Convenient, clean hotel offering value for money. Breakfast is excellent and staff very friendly and helpful Carole, United Kingdom. Lovely owners more than helpful, very comfortable bed, the rooms are more than adequate.
The room and hotel generally were spotless, well appointed and kept to a high standard. Very friendly and helpful couple who are running the hotel Very nice breakfast with fresh fruit, pancakes, bread, cereals, eggs, etc We stayed here one night on our way back from our holiday.
Martine's hospitality was exceptional! Her guesthouse is very cozy, and comes equipped with everything you need to stay for a few days. Her garden is beautiful and calm, it's really worth staying an extra day or two, and enjoy a picnic in the garden. Martine gave us fresh peaches and melon from her garden, and they are delicious. Having a car helps, but if you feel adventurous, maybe try hitchhiking, as we did there is no public transport, and the supernarket is about 15 minutes by car.
Jacque is very hospitable and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and entertained. The accommodation is rustic and comfortable in a very beautiful village. The bikes were a win We cycled the canals and had a great time. Jacque even arranged for our washing to be done It was a pleasure to meet Jacques and his wife. I'm sure it's not very often that they have guests who leave at 5am and only return at 11pm!
They were very kind in responding to unusual requests, such as providing honey and lemon in the morning to make a hot drink before setting off for our yoga retreat each day! We had interesting discussions with Jacques, who is open-minded and tolerant. I'm sure if we had been more like "standard" tourists, he would have provided us with a lot od interesting local information.
As it was, I am very grateful that he advised us to look up at the night sky on our way in and out. The stars look fabulous from their place! Jacques made us very welcome, his b and b is ideally situated for those who wish to explore the Burgundy canal and surrounding area.
We borrowed his bikes and enjoyed cycling along the tow paths to beautiful rural villages. The room was a good size with en suite shower room, the bed was comfortable.
Even although the property is next to the church, Jacques has managed to have the clock chimes stopped at Breakfast was excellent with fresh croissant, bread, cereal, yogurt, orange juice, tea or coffe Website hidden by Airbnb We stayed three nights and were made to feel at home.
Great value , wonderful countryside. Very nice place in quiet little village. It is worth to allow some time and have a bicycle ride around as it is wonderful place. We haven't met Jacques but his wife Tatiana is very nice and she recommended a great place to visit although we did not speak the same languages: Room was very nice with bathroom, exactly how you expect from pictures.
Jacques was extremely helpful and accommodating. The room was very nice, and the area was perfect. Taking a morning bike ride on the free bikes around the town was the highlight of our stay. Jacques and his family warmly welcomed us into their cozy home. Jacques was extremely helpful in providing us with a plethora of local information about places of interest to see in the surrounding region.
Jacques is a passionate ambassador for Burgundy. We highly recommend a stay at Datcha Burgundy. Jacques and Tania were very friendly and helpful to us and we enjoyed their accommodation very much. The bed was comfortable and breakfasts were wonderful.
Wonderful hosts, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome, even came over with farm fresh eggs and delicious homemade jams. The house is in a perfect location to all Burgundy wineries and attractions. And at the end of the day just sit back and relax on the outdoor patio overlooking the gorgeous views. Merci Odile and Michel! Clomot is a picturesque three hour drive from Paris.
When we reached Odille and Michel's charming farm, Odille was waiting to welcome us, daughter in tow. We could barely contain our gasps of delight when Odille showed us around the largish cottage, rustic on the outside but fitted with a washing machine and dishwasher, wi fi and every other amenity one can conceive of.
Clean, comfortable beds, hot water, plentiful crockery and cutlery, and sitting pretty on the polished wooden table - a bottle of Odille' s home made jam, fresh brown eggs and a loaf of bread - all part of the package provided by the generous hosts. The hosts were more than willing to show us around their busy farmstead, patiently using a dictionary to convert French into English. They took pains to point out sites of interest nearby on the maps, the maps of the vineyard country.
As the evening grew chilly, we cooked ourselves a little meal on the modern induction stove and enjoyed the cosy comfort of the well heated rooms. We had to leave the next morning but we do know that if we had to come back to France for a week-long holiday, we would come to Odille and Michel's farm in Clomot. A highly recommended break for the city stressed or stay for world hoppers like us who want to experience the teal thing We have moved ahead but our heart remains with odile and her sweet little world Our stay was absolutely perfect!
Odile welcomed us late at night. We all slept as good as at home. Especially when traveling with kids a farm house is just so much better then a hotel. The house had plenty of room to spare for my wife and I and our two teenage daughters. The kitchen is quite large and exceptionally well equipped.
We enjoyed shopping at local markets especially the Saturday market in nearby Beaune and returning to prepare a meal in our very own French kitchen. Julia Child would have been envious! The hosts who live in a separate house across the farm yard are hard working farmers and even with some language challenges due to Americans who couldn't dredge up much high school French learned years ago they effectively shared the details of their life raising beef, hay and grain.
We found plenty to do in the area with days trips each day. We've enjoyed the absolute peace, in the middle of fields. Our boys 3 and 1 year enjoyed the animals: The house is spacious and fresh in warm days.
In addition, well equipped for babies, including a washing mashine. The place of Odile and Michel is a lovely house, situated in a secluded farm, where you can have a very nice rest outside of the busy city. Odile and Michel are very helpful and welcoming hosts. The house is spacious, it can easily accommodate six or more people. The kitchen is very well equipped. There is also a garden, where you can enjoy your morning coffee and the scenic view.
We enjoyed our stay at their place and we highly recommend it if you are looking for a quiet and serene holiday. Absolutely gorgeous rustic enchanting stone farmhouse with amazing countryside views.
So rustic that it was hard to find. The definition of "getting away from it all. Fully equipped with WIFI and everything you would need. Otilie was charming, but does not speak English so communication was a challenge. She recommended a wonderful restaurant and we had a 4 course meal that was outstanding!
Wish we could have stayed longer! Would love to come back! The highlight of our trip! It was a very nice stay. We felt welcome and had a great time. Christine is a fabulous host, always kind and courteous and also gave us some eggs from their chickens. Overall perfect, thank you very much: The apartment is modern and clean, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen has what you need for cooking at home.
The location is in a small village, so driving is a must. We were here in October, but imagine that the reservoir down the road from her place would be wonderful in the summer. If there is a negative, it is that the wifi and cell service in the area is spotty. However, we were able to get on enough for our purposes.
A wonderful cottage in a quiet village, in an environment possessing a true sense of place. The garden is a pleasant mix of wildness and design, a great place to wander and explore, or to sit and contemplate in peace. Martine was helpful, clear, and genuinely kind. She even let us help ourselves to the produce in her garden for anything we wished to cook. Only downside for us internet addicts was the lack of free WiFi or a decent 3G connection, but we understand that will be resolved very soon.
Wish we could have spent another week or so there! Everything is accurate and clean. The host is kind and careful for environment and health protection. Superb garden is a heaven. Perfect location either for one night or one week, not even 10mn from highway, 5 mn from center and shops but in a very beautiful and quiet place.
Chicken, bee and sheep will be your neighbor. The view from the veranda and terrace is stunning, accommodation is all new and well done with natural material and the host is available and caring with attention to detail.
Nice castle and village to visit around and along the canal de Bourgogne We need more place like the one Martine is offering A wonderful and relaxing location with bike rides, walks and a beautiful garden. We wished we had stayed longer! We would recommend this beautiful home to anyone! The house was pretty, authentic, tasteful and comfortable, and the garden is extremely lovely! Martine was a gracious, helpful and kind host. She is a special person, who has created a fantastic place to get away from it all and get to know a beautiful region.
This is a beautiful home in the French countryside. If you are looking for a quiet few days, I can't recommend it enough. What a lovely home with a beautiful garden and backyard.
A true oasis from the winding roads of Burgundy. Hope we will visit again some day! This cottage is good value for money. It was clean and had most amenities. The garden outside was lovely. The area is delightful. Be prepared to bring provisions. We had to drive for miles to find food and breakfast is not included.
The downstairs bedroom does not get a lot of light or sun and smells of damp and feels cold as does the bed a little. There was a blanket in this bedroom which had not been dried properly and smelt terrible but this was sorted by taking it outside the house!
If you search around upstairs you will find a couple of blankets. Put one under the bed sheet and it makes a difference. The bedrooms upstairs are lovely and warm Summer. My sons enjoyed the Xbox in the property! Be prepared to make your own beds.
The light bulbs in the 2 bedrooms upstairs all gone but the bedside lamps still working. If you are looking for sparkling clean, stylish hotel space then leave this out but for a quirky, comfortable stay in a cute town with a lovely garden-this is worth checking out!
Nous recommandons ce gite. Warm welcome on arrival. Nice clean room with ensuite toilet and basin. Access to shower upstairs. Host was helpful in pointing us to visit Chateauneuf for a choice of nearby eating options short drive away. Sue and David were absolutely wonderful. Everything was as it should be and we really enjoyed our stay with them. We chose the English breakfast and it was great. This was our first AirBnB experience and it was a great one.
We would definitely go back next year if our route takes us in the same direction. Be confidant to select this as your stopover, you will love it! A big thank you to David and Sue, in her absence for the relaxing break we had at their place on our way to the South.
The dip in the swimmingpool was refreshing, and we appreciated the calm and the homemade bread! Sue and David made our day. They were great hosts. When we came in late from our bicycle tour, they called ahead to the creperie in Longcourte to make sure they would still be open and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we have ever had.
All that after we thought we were too late to find food. The property and room were fantastic. The space is very private and larger than the photographs make it seem.
The tour of their gardens was fun too. All in all, a fantastic experience. Sue and her husband were very welcoming, the room very clean with a good bed.
The house is located closeby the highway, but in a very quiet village. After a short visit of the closeby village Neufchateau, we had a good night of sleep before continuing our trip. Sue and her husband are very sweet people. The bedroom is very cozy, and the nuit calme tea at night was superb.
Also, Chazilly is very picturesque. Located in an attractive small village, the apartment would be a great base for a few days of exploring the local area.
Unfortunately we were only able to stay a day, but were greatly appreciative of the generosity and hospitality of the hosts.
Comfortably housed our family of five. The kitchen was small but adequate for simple meals, and there are games and reading material available. Best shower of our trip through France and Germany so far! Warm welcome and clean facilities. Not far away from the highway in a small quiet French village. There, underneath the old church, a lovely French garden with a very nice appartement in a French style.
Old stylish furniture and a simple kitchen and a toilet downstairs. Upstairs tou find 4 good beds and a very good shower.
Restaurants are a 5 minute ride and will serve you a delicious local cuisine. Un grand merci pour les prunes du jardin qui ont fini en confiture: Accueil super dans un charmant petit village au calme.
We had a really relaxing and enjoyable time. It was perfectly situated for a quiet retreat in burgundy. Veronique was incredibly welcoming even with an obvious language barrier.
Had a great stay chez Veronique. We booked late in the day and she saved us. A nice mix of old style and new design. Thank you again for your hospitality. If you want to stay in an old farmhouse with modern amenities in the Burgundy countryside, this is a great place. It is clean with a great kitchen to cook at home if you want.
Beds are very comfortable! We especially appreciated the toys for our 4 and 7-year olds. The views are wonderful with horses and sheep just next store. There are two Chateaus within a minute drive and some nice restaurant options. It is an easy minute drive to Dijon or Beaune.
Overall, a great experience. Great house, surounded by nature. Veronique has been always at our disposal whenever we need it. Awesome location close to anything. It had everything we could possibly need and I wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed with our young family and it was perfect for us.
We stayed 2 night but it would be great to stay longer. The house se spacious a very cozy. Also the village is beatiful. We had a lovely week long winter holiday in Martois. The house was very warm and comfortable - Sylvie even had prepared a fire in the chimney for our arrival.
We will be back! We had a very pleasant stay at Christine. Beautiful location, nice things to see and do in the surroundings, and the house had everything we needed. They even brought some extra toys for our kids to play with. Das Haus ist komplett renoviert, praktisch, sauber und ordentlich. Die Umgebung ist toll, vor allem der See. He also provided tourist information brochures. We could have stayed in this area for a longer, as there are many activities and historical buildings.
These hosts offer a perfect base enabling their guests to travel out to many different attractions. It is impossible to give this host the star rating as they are not working. These hosts deserves to get the rating, we have put this in this section, as tapping on the airbnb stars system is not working. This was very pleasant stay, middle in nature. The room was clean and quiet. Jacques was very good host, helpful and friendly. Jacques und seine Frau haben uns herzlich empfangen.
We loved our short stay at Veronique's home. The room is big and comfortable and breakfast - delicious. We admired Chateauneuf, guided by Veronique's remarkable hospitality. A charming room in a quiet hilltop village with a splendid view of the chateau. We have now stayed there on four separate occasions and been thoroughly delighted with everything.
What a nice getaway for the short stay we were looking for We also loved the castle visit: We have been very satisfied with Veronique's kindness and her beautiful house. The village is amazing with its ancient castle and it's definitely worth a visit. Veronique welcomed us warmly and supported us with our orientation questions and with a delicious breakfast the following morning.
I'm sure we will pass by again to visit further the beautiful surroundings and to spend one more night in Veronique's chambre d'epoque! Large room with separate private balcony facing the east overlooking hr garden and the surrounding countryside and chamber window opening to the Chateau. Plenty of nice touches in the chamber. Beautifully designed bathroom with plenty of towels.
Room enough in the chamber for a breakfast table. We especially like the lavender infused apricot. We hope to return and stay longer. Maybe use your place as a home base for a few days. Absolutely charming little place in the Bourgogne countryside! Had everything we needed - comfortable bed, sitting area, and a small kitchen to make our dinners. A car is definitely needed, but you don't need to go far. We loved our time here, and we hope to come back!
A magical little place to spend a few days while visiting the Burgundy region!! The interior is well appointed, and we enjoyed the nice touches like CDs to listen to and DVDs to watch at night. Everything is clean and tidy. On evenings when we stayed in, we enjoyed cooking and eating outside.
On arrival, we really felt at home--there was some coffee, tea, and water to enjoy as well as some regional gifts. In the area, it is nice to walk and only a quick drive to the Route des Grands Crus. We also loved visiting the Abbaye de Bussiere. My stay at the old bakery was excellent. Communications were good And everything was explained very well, the owners as Well as the neighbours were very welcoming And hospitable.
The surroundings were quiet even though there are lots of interesting places to visit in the area. Perfect location for a quiet yet satisfying vacation. Michele and her Airbnb are amazing! My boyfriend and I stayed here during our roadtrip to France and had a splendid experience.
This place is true authentic Burgundy living - in a tiny village, 30 min away driving from Beaune and Dijon. Michele was a great host and prepared us with everything we needed. Welcoming goodies and directions on how to use the cottage.
It is very close to the high way but you have the advantage of staying in a small village Astridcasablanca, Netherlands.
The hotel looks to have been refurbished throughout, so appears as brand new. Great location just off the motorway for an overnight stop. Very friendly staff and a good breakfast Annie, France.
