Circle – the app revolutionising social payments, are strengthening their presence in Ireland by opening a new global HQ to house their growing team. This will bring the amount of Circle employees in Dublin to 30 before the end of March 2018.
With the the official launch of the Circle Pay app this week in France and Italy, Circle’s European take-over is taking shape. Currently available in 29 European countries, soon every country in the EEA will join the millions of others globally who use Circle Pay to send and receive money instantly.
Circle Pay’s customer growth in Europe has reached 800% and payments volume has grown by more than 700% in Europe alone in the past year. Most Circle Pay’s European customers are millennials (90% are below 35 years old and 60% are below 25 years old) and use the product for many day-to-day person-to-person payments.
At a launch event held in their new global HQ, Circle Co-Founders, Jeremy Allaire and Sean Neville announced details of Circle's market expansions, new Groups product features, further insight into their crypto asset trading growth and their commitment to the Irish market.
Circle Pay - New Features: Groups
Circle Pay are now launching social money messages for Groups and Events.
Using Circle Pay Groups, users will be able to request and send money in a single group conversation among teammates, friends, dinner companions, roommates, and other social groups. Group conversations can be had but with payment functionality built in. Money threads the group chat and as with all Circle Pay transactions, it’s fun and easy and facilitates the sharing of photos, emojis, memes and images.
Using events will allow the user to create a destination to host payments for a cause, goal, party, trip or any other event. In Ireland it is anticipated that Groups function will be a huge hit with students in house-shares looking for an easy, effective and transparent way to share living expenses.
