According to Glen Mulcahy, RTÉ’s Head of Innovation and founder and organiser of RTÉ Mojocon said: “Since the very start, Mojocon has focused on creating a supportive environment to facilitate the growing global community of mojo professionals to meet, network and share stories. As RTÉ Mojocon helps that community to grow, we have increasingly explored ways of opening up the conference to a broader audience. By coming to Galway and working with established and respected local partners, we have developed a series of unique high quality events which will allow delegates and non-delegates, thought-leaders and enthusiasts to come together in a culturally stimulating environment to share, learn and create new stories.”

Registration for the Mojocon Fringe events will be handled directly by partner organisations. All fringe events are free of charge. Details can be found at https://mojocon.rte.ie/mojocon-fringe-events/.

Mojocon Fringe will complement the three-day conference which is packed with plenary sessions from leading professionals, workshops with industry experts and a mojo exhibition in addition to photo-walks, exhibitions and pub crawls.

Among this year’s innovations is a specially chartered Dublin-Galway #Mojotrain complete with up to 20 mojo trainers for RTÉ Mojocon attendees. The mojo trainers (4 per carriage) will be delivering mojo photography and video tips throughout the journey and there are almost €10,000 worth of prizes on offer. The one-way train leaves Dublin at 3pm. For details or to book, visit https://mojocon.rte.ie/mojo-train-dublin-galway/

RTÉ Mojocon will again showcase the wealth and breadth of pioneering work being done by media organisations, broadcasters, companies and individuals around the globe to truly explore and develop the potential of smart devices as high-quality content creation and consumption tools.

RTÉ MojoCon is run on a not-for-profit basis and is designed to be self-funding from ticket sales and sponsorship. Join the RTÉ #MojoCon and #mojoconfringe conversations on social media via @MojoConIRL (Twitter) and @RTE (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn).
