London and Amsterdam ‘Inside Intercom’ Events Sell Out


The ‘Inside Intercom’ European Tour, a multi-city series of events to learn more about how to build great products from the team behind one of fastest growing companies in Dublin, has already sold out in a number of venues.

Intercom, the leading customer communication platform, is hosting their biggest event to date, and the biggest event on product Ireland has ever seen: ‘Inside Intercom’ in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on May 31st.

"We are starting to see people from London and Amsterdam, who didn’t manage to pick up tickets to their local event, book tickets to fly out for the Dublin event at the Olympia Theatre instead,” said Megan Sheridan, Events Manager of Intercom. “The enthusiasm and receptiveness for our World Tour has been incredible. The global community of product builders and people that care about making great products is mammoth and growing every day, and the community in Dublin reflects this.” 

Intercom was founded by four Irishmen, and currently employs 140 at their R&D center in Dublin, with plans to add another 100 over the next year. “Representing in our hometown is so so important to us,” Ms Sheridan said. “The Dublin event is by far the biggest production that we have on this World Tour, or that we’ve ever hosted. Bigger venue, bigger crowd, more content, big production. We're giving it everything."

Following on from the success of last year’s sell out 650-person product event in the Mansion House, the company will take over the stunning Olympia Theatre with keynotes and panels on design, engineering, product management and big ideas by thought leaders from around the world.

Speakers include Intercom’s Director of Product Design Emmet Connolly (co-founder of Android Wear, VP of Product Paul Adams (previously Facebook’s Global Head of Brand Design), Content Strategist Elizabeth McGuane, Director of Engineering Brian White, VP of Engineering Darragh Curran, and special guests from great companies around the world.

Over 3 months, Intercom will be hosting 12 events across Europe, Canada, Israel and America, with a sharp focus on building great products.

Intercom has steadily become Ireland’s biggest technology multinational building its core product from Dublin. The company is investing heavily in the talent of the Irish workforce, so it makes perfect sense to close the European leg of their World Tour in Dublin.

Intercom recently raised $50 million in funding, bringing total investment to $116 million, with product-focused investors such as Ilya Fushman, General Partner at Index Ventures and former Head of Product at Dropbox, and Slack co-founder Stewart Butterfield participating in the round.
