Ireland’s inaugural Inventfest.org celebrates new Irish wave of ‘Internet of Everything’ successful makers

Feb 4th will see Ireland's inaugural InventFest.org, celebrating Irish home-grown “Internet of Everything” inventors, designers and makers success stories. The new wave of Irish creativity will showcase their products and deliver inspirational talks.

Jack Phelan, co-founder of the globally successful drop (smart kitchen scales), backed by PCH, Rob O'Reilly, inventor of the expressiv guitar midi system backed by Sean O'Sullivan Ventures and David Craig creator of the Scriba Stylus, which had a successful kickstarter crowd funding campaign in 2015 are some of the exciting makers already selling their products globally.

Intel, EMC, VT Networks and Vodafone are investing millions in the Internet of Everything (IoE) here in Ireland. Gartner, the world’s leading IT research Company predicts 25 billion connected devices will be in use by 2020. Intel's CEO, Brian Krzanich keynote speaker at CES 2016 predicts the Internet of Things is the future of the company.

Inventfest.org founder, Michael Cusack Clyne’s vision for the event is to inspire people to become successful inventors and makers. The future of InventFest.org, is to put Ireland and Dublin City on the global map as Europe's premier “Internet of Everything” conference and tradeshow to showcase, promote Irish home-grown hardware start-ups and International global game changers.

Clyne believes with the success of the web summit, our creativity, imagination and design talent, there is no reason why we can’t become global players in hardware innovation, too.” The interest and appetite for this event has been phenomenal, so much so that it’s sold out and highlights the true potential for a much larger event later this year.”

RTE, Dogpatch Labs and ESB’s new X_Site Innovation Hub also recognise the potential of Inventfest.org by coming on board as the main sponsors. As a social entrepreneurial initiative, all ticket sales go directly to Childline in partnership with 100minds.

Inventfest.org takes place on Feb 04th 2016 at the new refurbished dogpatch lab vaults in the CHQ building, IFSC, Dublin 1.
