Media can get a sneak peek at work produced by up and coming designers, artists and makers next Monday, 8th June, when the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) holds a media preview and tour of its 2015 Graduate Exhibition.

Taking place during Irish Design 2015, this year’s NCAD Graduate Exhibition promotes and celebrates the work of the Irish designers and artists of the future. The exclusive preview will commence at 10am atNCAD, 100 Thomas Street, Dublin 8 (meeting point outside main reception, to the right after the arched entrance). NCAD staff and students will be available to bring members of the media on a tour of the exhibition.

The work featured in the graduate exhibitions ranges from a huge sculptural water based installation, to addressing modern health issues through micro farms and online communities, and a first aid system for recreational marine crafts. A project exploring the phenomenon of religious apparitions in Ireland is on display, as well as a film exploring second-generation emigration with an emphasis on mother-daughter relationships.

In total, work by over 200 students will feature in NCAD’s 2015 Annual Graduate Exhibition, which is open to the public from 13th to 21st June. The exhibition will take place across NCAD’s Campus, 100 Thomas Street, adjoining John Street West building, and Former Frawleys, 35 Thomas Street, Dublin 8.

Students across Fine Art, Design and Education will showcase their work, covering disciplines ranging from product design, fashion and visual communications to painting, sculpture, media and fine print.

The exhibition presents an opportunity for the leading designers and artists of the future to showcase their creative identities as they begin their professional careers. It’s also an opportunity for potential collectors, employers and innovators to spot the latest talent, and for curious members of the public to see the newest trends in design and art.
