As part of the agreement, SAP will offer Starhome Mach’s LTE steering of roaming solution – Intelligent Preferred Network® (IPN LTE) – to its SAP IPX 365 mobile services customers. IPN LTE is used by home networks to connect their roamers’ mobile devices to preferred visited networks, allowing operators to control the roaming user experience and competitively price roaming tariffs.
“As the inter-carrier market undergoes rapid change with technology moving towards all IP, there is an increasing need for our value-added services,” said Tal Meirzon, CEO, Starhome Mach. “We are pleased to team with SAP and anticipate that through this cooperation operators will experience easier implementation and integration of SAP IPX 365 and LTE steering solutions from Starhome Mach.”
Starhome Mach’s steering solution has over 130 deployments worldwide. Voted best in the market* two years running, it allows operators to deliver a high level of service and a better user experience by minimizing service disruptions between LTE and GSM (3G) solutions. Starhome Mach’s LTE-compliant solutions promote the best possible user experience by enabling subscribers to easily roam in hybrid networks. In addition, operators now have the unique ability to better optimize their steering results by integrating Starhome Mach’s clearing data into the IPN LTE system.
“The SAP Mobile Services division is an established interconnect player in the roaming industry,” said Sethu Meenakshisundaram, president, SAP Mobile Services. “Teaming with Starhome Mach will help strengthen our SAP IPX 365 mobile offering. Through this agreement, we aim to add multiple value-added services to our IPX infrastructure to help operators better manage and monetize their roaming service.”
