Invest NI is organising a Sectoral Trade Mission to the SxSW Conference 2014 due to take place in Austin, Texas from 7-16 March 2014.


THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS NOVEMBER 22ND.

The SxSW conferences and festivals offer the unique convergence of original music, independent films and emerging technologies, fostering creative and professional growth alike.

Interactive: An incubator of cutting-edge technologies and digital creativity, the 2014 event features five days of compelling presentations, panel sessions provide hands-on training as well as big-picture analysis of the future of this industry. In addition to the bountiful business opportunities at the Trade Show and Exhibition and the hands-on gaming fun, SxSW Interactive provides a full array of exciting evening events to entertain attendees. There are also new elements to the 2014 event which should be of interest to you.
Music: The music conference and festival is arguably the largest and most important music industry conference and showcasing event in the annual calendar. A packed music programme includes a definitive programme of keynotes, seminars and workshops as well as a multitude of showcases featuring over 1,500 officially invited international showcasing artists. The Trade Show also provides businesses with invaluable daytime networking, meeting and exhibition opportunities.
Film: The film conference and festival champions the vitality, innovation and opportunity that drive entertainment and media and boldly tackles the evolution of all aspects of “film” today.

If you wish to apply to join us, please complete and return the attached Registration of Interest Form and return to Christine Browne (Christine.browne@investni.com) no later than Friday 22nd November 2013.

Those companies that are selected to participate will receive a confirmation email from Invest NI, along with further details on the mission programme, including opportunities to participate in a number of additional off-site events. Please be advised that in the event of over subscription, Invest NI reserves the right to implement selection criteria.

Participating companies will also be able to access consultancy support before, during and after the event if required.

Costs

The mission participation fee is £100 plus VAT. However, this should only be made upon receipt of your confirmation of participation email from Invest NI.

Financial Assistance

Invest NI may provide financial support towards one company representative attendance as follows:

Conference Pass: 50% of the conference pass; maximum cost supported $995 = £650 approximately
Flights: 50% of an economy airfare (less APD and charges); maximum flight cost £800
Accommodation: Up to £75 per night for seven nights; maximum support £525
