Startup Dreamers join together this weekend at the Dublin Startup Weekend

Tonight starts a 56 hour coding, designing and building session to create a startup in a weekend. With teams competing with each other and at the end a winner selected by a group of high profile mentors and judges. Sound like fun? Well the people who are attending think so!

From what started as an idea to get people crowd sourcing their skills and building something in a weekend, Startup Weekend has grown into a Global organisation working to run Startup Weekends across the world. Over 45,000 Startups have been created across the world. Tonight is the turn of Dublin.

The sold out event will see open mic pitching tonight to see which Startups will be built over this weekend.

A lot of the attendees coming this evening will be coming straight from their jobs. They will work solidly to build the startup they dreamt of or work with a team to be apart of someone elses dream and then launch it by Sunday evening and then return to work on Monday.

It is the purest form of creation and entrepreneurism as well as helping attendees to make connections and build their network that will benefit them in the future.

We will be covering the weekend as we did last year and bring those who can't attend news direct from the weekend and the best of what's happening.
