Collaboration is about knowing what your good at and NOT!

So we are constantly adapting out projects at Silicon Ireland News to try and see what works and what doesn't. The one thing we have learnt is that you cannot be good at everything. Collaboration allows you to double up efforts and succeed in multiple areas.

Sometimes however it is important to realise when things are not working. With Greg's departure this year, we lost our events person. We looked to partner with others, but to be honest it was not working, so we have decided to close our events area, and concentrate on three area instead. 1) The news blog, 2) the Startup Academy Ireland and 3) building a knowledge base for tech leaders in Ireland.

We plan to collaborate with others in new areas, instead of trying to launch things ourselves.

This very aspect also feeds into our post yesterday about building connections in Europes centres. We must not be afraid to try, and fail. We must share our ideas, and build on this for a stronger Tech Centre for Ireland.
