
Global Business Development Executive x 2 positions (with French/ Spanish OR German)
Our client are a NI based supplier of specialist equipment to the global pharmaceutical market, and count the majority of the world’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturers as customers. Due to the launch of several new innovative products we are now seeking to exploit our relationships with existing global customers, significantly increase the business we do with them, develop new global accounts and increase sales across all our product divisions.
Essential Requirements:-
Degree qualified in Engineering or business related subject
Experience of developing business and sales on a global basis
Ability to operate at a senior level in key accounts and influence decision making
Can communicate technical features into commercial benefits for customer
Demonstrates clear business development results with proven track record in delivery of sales and generation of pipeline
Enthusiastic self starter who can demonstrate good business acumen
For one of the roles German is an essential language
Ability to travel on a regular basis globally
Optional :-
Experience of pharmaceutical or medical device packaging market
Understanding of quality control and production procedures in a highly regulated environment
Ability to speak French or Spanish
Duties and Objectives
To establish short and long term positive, productive and profitable relationships with customers and in target markets, promoting the benefits of new products and technologies.
To achieve the targeted sales growth.
Execute sales generation and prospecting in line with agreed targets.
Regularly review and report on business performance against targets and budgets.
Produce analysis reports and other information as required by the management team to assist with sales, financial and operational planning.
Maintain the company’s customer information database and ensure that management are kept fully informed through reports and discussion regarding sales activity.
Make recommendations to management as to how the company can improve the marketability of it’s products.
Negotiate commercial arrangements with customers subject to an agreed criteria.
Prepare quotations and tenders for new and existing customers.
Investigate customer complaints and queries. Ensure that they are dealt with in a professional manner, achieving a high level of customer service.
To become technically conversant with the company’s equipment range, being able to discuss the function of the equipment knowledgably with current and potential customers.
To visit customer premises and attend overseas trade exhibitions throughout the world promoting the development of the company as required.
